Liberal Racism and the Model Minority
The idea that a Black woman can’t also be an enemy of the people is actually pretty racist in itself.
White liberals construct an Ideal Black Person out of somebody who already shares all their views, then preen about “Listening to Black Voices” and “Learning”. Okay, but why trans-hating Arab-murdering cop lady instead of Assata Shakur? Why not Lucy Parsons? Curious.
It’s also a “neat” trick when you pick a dead Black Person as your justification puppet, and say “Dr. King would have supported Harris” or whatever.
Look, any people group are going to have saints and heroes, and monsters and betrayers, and people that are just kinda trying to get through life without hurting anybody. Using somebody’s identity categories to retroactively justify the politics you already have is rancid. Alot of Republicans used murdering Fascist cop David Clarke as their Model Black Person, you know.
The whole Model Minority thing is rooted in the history of white supremacy, and it’s telling that it’s been weaponized so heavily this election. There are absolutely people who are misogynist and/or anti-Black, but there’s alot of other reasons somebody won’t vote for a police state functionary, Trans-hating, anticommunist genocide enthusiast like Harris.
